Troy and Amber Schmidt's roots in photography
began humbly in their own home. With little more than
a passion and entry level camera, Amber entered the
photography realm in 2005 when she began photographing
weddings. Very quickly Troy began to accompany Amber
and realized that he shared this dream.
In just two short years, they have built
a solid successful studio out of a big dream, and in
January 2007 Schmidt Studio and Gallery opened it doors
in the historic downtown district of their hometown,
Lexington, KY.
In their 2005 freshmen season, the couple
photographed only a handful of families and three weddings.
Currently they are booking into 2009.
A desire to learn and succeed in the BUSINESS
of photography has driven this young couple to achieve
great things in a short period of time. Photographically
their primary interests include wedding and senior photography.
"If I were to give up every genre of photography, I
would always continue to photograph weddings... my heart
is there" says Amber.
The world awaits them and although they
are now seasoned veterans they are just getting started.
Their motto? "Go big or go home." They have done just
that!
